Last Updated on February 27, 2024 by Gabby Hatten

For many of us on the homesteading/cook-from-scratch journey, bread was probably the first step. Baking a sandwich loaf is easy enough, but what about the fun stuff? In our home, Hawaiian rolls are a staple. When you have a child on the spectrum, it’s super important to always have their safe foods on hand. For us, that meant finding a way to make healthy sourdough Hawaiian rolls at home.

This recipe uses a lot of active starter because it’s supposed to be a fast, same-day recipe.
