Easy Sourdough Discard Pancakes

Cook Time 20 minutes
Total Time 25 minutes

Equipment

  • 1 cast iron skillet
  • 1 glass mixing bowl
  • 1 whisk

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sourdough discard
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil can use avocado as well
  • 1 pinch Himalayan sea salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp raw honey

Instructions

  • pre-heat your cast iron skillet before making batter
  • while skillet is pre-heating, add all ingredients (minus baking soda) to glass bowl
  • combine with whisk until batter is smooth, then incorporate baking soda.
  • add a spoon full of coconut oil to your skillet.
  • once your skillet is sizzling, you can pour the batter via spoon or ladle.
  • once you see bubbles throughout, it's time to flip!
  • cook the underside for roughly 30 seconds, then repeat until batter is gone (:
